Features for PDF2ePub plugin v1.01
- Works as an Adobe Acrobat plugin. Supported Acrobat versions are 7, 8, 9, and 10 - all flavors including Standard, Pro, Pro Extended. The solution does not work with the free Adobe Reader software.
- Plugin adds a new option in the File | Save As dialog box to convert the currently open PDF file to ePub
- All PDF metadata is exported to the OPF file
- CSS is exported separately from the content file
- Converted ePub passes the ePubCheck 1.0.5 validation check
- Exported document maintains high fidelity for font and css.
- All content and basic layout structure is retained in the exported ePub.
- Images are retained in the converted ePub document
- Tables and Lists - for Tagged PDFs the support for Tables and Lists is excellent. For other PDFs, Lists and Tables have limited support. By using the ePub tool and TouchUp Reading order tool, the conversion quality can be improved.
- Bookmarks in PDF are exported as Table of Contents in the NCX document in converted ePub.
- Hyperlinks - both internal and external hyperlinks are retained in the conversion process.
